Winter sports sign-up’s will be held from Monday, October 5^th through Friday, October 9^th, for all students in grades 7-12.  The following sports are being offered: 

Varsity, JV and Modified Boys Basketball

Varsity, JV and Modified Girls Basketball

Varsity Boys and Girls Bowling

Varsity and Modified Ice Hockey (at Somers HS)

Varsity Boys and Girls Alpine Ski

Varsity Boys and Girls Indoor Track

Varsity and Modified Wrestling (at John Jay Cross River HS)

Varsity Boys Swim (at JohnJayCrossRiver HS)

If you are interested in participating in a winter sport, please sign up in the Athletic office located in room W34.   

A reminder to 7^th and 8^th grade parents, there is a new State policy which permits physically and emotionally appropriate students in grades 7 and 8 to try out for an athletic team that is outside of their grade placement, it is called Athletic Placement Process.  If you are interested in finding out more about it, please call Henry Sassone at 914-669-5414, ext. 2039, before your son or daughter signs up for a winter sport.  You can read more about this program on the athletic web page under Athletic Placement Process, left side of the page.
